Apple to start production of iPhone SE 4 soon, may feature new design

American device maker Apple may start producing iPhone SE 4 soon. The smartphone will be launched next year. It could replace the iPhone SE launched about two years ago. Its design is subject to change.

Tianfeng International Securities analyst Guo Mingchi said in a blog post apple Chinese suppliers will begin mass production of iPhone SE 4 in December. From December this year to the first quarter of next year, approximately 8.6 million units of this smartphone will be produced. Previously, Kuo Ming-chi said that Apple plans to launch iPhone SE 4 in the first quarter of next year. This may be the company’s most affordable iPhone.

Recently, Japanese blog Macotakara leaked some iPhone SE 4 models. This smartphone looks similar to the iPhone 14. It has a mute switch instead of an operating button. The images suggest it will have a rear camera, flat edges and a Face ID system. Its virtual unit measures 146.7 x 71.5 x 7.8 mm. This is similar to the size of the iPhone 14. The blog claims that the iPhone 14 TPU protective case fits the iPhone SE 4 model unit. However, the camera islands on these smartphones are slightly different. The iPhone SE 4’s mute switch is quieter than the iPhone 14’s. However, its volume buttons and side buttons remain unchanged.

This blog shows two iPhone SE 4 models of different sizes. One has a 6.7-inch screen and the other has a 6.1-inch screen. This suggests that Apple may launch two versions of the smartphone. One of them may be iPhone SE 4, and the other may be iPhone SE Plus. Macotakara said the final design and dimensions of the smartphone have yet to be determined. Apple has seen strong demand for its new iPhone range. In the first three weeks of sales of these smartphones in China, sales increased by about 20% compared with the iPhone 15 series of smartphones launched last year.
