Hours after the new government took over Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday, the government canceled several orders. It also includes the dissolution of the Executive Council headed by the Lieutenant Governor. Four government orders initiated in 2020 have been withdrawn, according to official statements.
Pursuant to Order No. 808, an Administrative Council was established, chaired by the Lieutenant Governor and composed of his advisors. The Chief Secretary is designated as Secretary to the Executive Council.

Armed robbery at Kakching bank in Manipur
A UCO Bank branch was robbed at gunpoint in Kakchin, Manipur on Wednesday. The robbers robbed more than 600,000 rupees. The incident took place at Kakching market at 3pm. In CCTV footage, the masked robbers can be seen threatening the bank’s guards and employees. The matter is under investigation.
