A prohibitory order has been imposed on the movement of people at night within a radius of two kilometers of the international border between Jammu and Kashmir and Pakistan. Samba district magistrate Rajesh Sharma, exercising powers under Section 163 of the Indian Civil Defense Act (BNSS), ordered that no person or group should move in the area between 10 pm and 5 am.
The order said that in cases of extreme necessity, people must produce valid identity documents before the BSF or police. Legal action will be taken in case of violations. The order takes effect immediately and will remain in effect for the next 60 days unless withdrawn or canceled earlier.

4.1 million pilgrims have visited Chardham Yatra so far
This quarter, the number of people visiting Uttarakhand for the Chardham Yatra on October 15 crossed the 4.1 million mark. The Chardham Yatra Management and Control Organization said that so far this year, a total of 41,13,081 pilgrims have visited Chardham temples, including Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri and Yamunotri.
With Kedarnath and Yamunotri announcing closure on November 3, Gangotri on November 2 and Badrinath on November 17, Chardham Yatra has entered its final phase.
