The controversy between Karan Johar and Divya Khosla Kumar has been going on ever since the release of the Alia Bhatt-starrer film Jigra. In fact, Divya claimed that Karan Johar made ‘Jigra’ by copying her film ‘Saavi’. After being accused of stealing scripts, Divya had recently shared pictures of empty theaters in Jigra and said Alia had purchased tickets for her movie and announced the fake collection. Karan Johar has since shared a post calling Divya a fool without revealing her name.
Divya wrote in her post yesterday, “Went to see Jigra at PVR in City Mall and the theater was empty.” In fact, all theaters around the world were empty. Alia Bhatt was really courageous, she bought the tickets herself and announced the fake collection. I wonder why paid media is silent? The public should not be fooled. Truth is better than lies.
In response to this, Karan Johar wrote an unsigned response, saying that remaining silent is the best answer for an idiot.
After Karan’s post, Divya Khosla responded: “The truth always angers the fools who oppose it.” In his next post, he wrote, “When you shamelessly steal from others And when you ask for something from someone else, you have to save yourself by remaining silent. You have no voice and no backbone.
What’s the whole problem?
Divya Khosla Kumar’s film Saavi releases on May 31, 2024. The film tells the story of a sister trying to save her brother. Recently, on October 11, the movie “Jigra” starring Alia Bhatt and Vidang Raina was released, and the storyline fits perfectly with Savi.
Ever since the trailer of Jigra was released, Divya’s team has been accusing the makers of Jigra of stealing Savi’s story. His PR team provided this information via a shared note.
The actress alleged that Alia stole the script of her film and then revised it with director Vasan Bala and released it as ‘Jigra’.
