8 key things to remember from Modi’s speech
1. Some people say that the slogan “Ek hai toh safe hain” is wrong.
- Some seek to spread anarchy. They are busy hurting India. They want a wrong image of India in the world. These people are busy targeting the Indian Army. A misinformation campaign is underway. These people create divisions in the name of caste.
- Sometimes we used to sing the song of unity in schools and colleges – all the inhabitants of India are one, regardless of their colour, appearance or language, they are many. If someone says there is today, it is called false. If someone says it’s safe if there’s only one, then say that’s wrong. These people are destroying the unity of the country. We need to be more careful than ever against this tendency.
2. We are committed to “one country, one election”
- Over the past 10 years, all efforts in India to unite in diversity have been successful. Today, “One Nation, One Identity” (Aadhaar) is being discussed across the world. We created a “one country, one tax” system. We completed the concept of “one country, one grid”.
- We provide the facility of “one nation, one insurance” to the country in the form of Ayushman Bharat. Now we are working on “One Nation, One Election.” This will strengthen democracy in India. India will achieve new development and prosperity as a result.
3. India is moving towards a secular civil code
- Today, India is moving towards a secular civil code. The core of Sardar Saheb’s words is our inspiration. The dissatisfaction that exists between different classes will disappear. It will prove the determination of the country to unite. Seven years after independence, the dream of one country, one constitution has come true. Baba Saheb Ambedkar’s constitution was not implemented across the country for 70 years. Many insulted the Constitution.
- Article 370 is like a wall in Jammu and Kashmir, depriving it of development. It has been buried forever in the ground. The Chief Minister took oath on the Indian Constitution for the first time in Jammu and Kashmir. This would satisfy the framers of the Indian Constitution.
4. Jammu and Kashmir rejects separatist agenda
- The people of Jammu and Kashmir have rejected the secession agenda. Today, terrorists know that if they harm India, they will not leave India. An agreement was reached with confidence in the Northeast, ending years of conflict. Tripura National Liberation Front ended long-running unrest.
5. India eradicates Nazism
- When the history of the 21st century is written, it will be written how India eradicated Naxalism in its second and third decades. Remember when the Red Corridor was built from Pashupati in Nepal to Tirupati in India.
- The flames of Naxalism were kindled among the tribal brothers and sisters who had fought against the British. This has become a challenge to the unity and integrity of India. Today, Naxalism is also on its deathbed in India. The fruits of development that the tribal communities have been waiting for for years are now reaching their homelands.
6. The previous government engaged in discriminatory behavior
- A sense of discrimination embedded in the intentions and policies of successive governments is eroding the country’s unity. Over the past decade, the country’s new model of good governance has eliminated all forms of discrimination. We have chosen the path of common development and common support. Today, we are working hard to provide water to every household without discrimination through water supply schemes.
- Today, Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi can be treated without any discrimination. Nowadays, people can enjoy the benefits of Ayushman Yojana without any discrimination. This increases people’s trust in government. This is promoting an India, a better India. Unity is the life force of every policy and intention. Seeing this, the soul of Sardar Saheb must be blessing us.
7. Unity in the construction of the Statue of Unity
- Sardar Patel’s 150th birth anniversary begins today. The past decade has been a decade of fruitful results for India’s unity and integrity. The main reason for this is Ekta Nagar where the Statue of Unity is located. Its structure is also unified. To make it, the iron in farm implements was brought from the farmers of the country, as Sardar Saheb was the son of a farmer.
- After India’s independence, some people in the world commented on the disintegration of India. He did not want to create an India by uniting hundreds of princely states, but Sardar Saheb did it. This was possible because Sardar Saheb was realistic in his conduct, sincere in his determination, humanitarian in his actions and nationalistic in his goals.
8. Development in a turbulent world is not normal
- India today has vision, direction and determination. India is strong, tolerant, sensitive and vigilant. India knows the importance of power and peace. It is not normal to develop amid worldwide turmoil. Development is abnormal when wars occur everywhere.
- It is not normal for India to be a friend to the world when there is a crisis in world relations. While the distance between many countries in the world is getting larger and larger, the distance between many countries and India is also getting closer. The world is watching how firmly India resolves the crisis. At this important time, we must preserve and maintain our unity.
The Statue of Unity is the tallest statue in the world
This statue of Sardar Patel (182 meters) is the tallest in the world. In 2010, Modi announced the establishment of the agency as chief minister. The construction of the statue started on October 31, 2013 and was completed five years later on October 31, 2018, the 143rd birth anniversary of Sardar Patel. Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled the statue.
109 tons of iron used The biggest feature of this statue is that it is made of 135 tons of old farm tools donated by more than 500,000 farmers across the country, melted and made into 109 tons of iron. This kind of iron was used for this statue.
The statue is made from 6,000 tons of structural steel The statue was built at a cost of Rs 2,989 crore. Among them, 210,000 cubic meters of cement concrete, 2,000 tons of bronze, 6,005 tons of structural steel and 18,000 tons of steel bars were used. It is built in the center of a pond covering an area of 12 square kilometers.
The statue can also withstand a 6.5-magnitude earthquake and a storm with a speed of 220 kilometers per hour. Since 85% copper was used in the construction of the statue, it will not rust for thousands of years. Standing in the gallery of the statue, which can accommodate 40 people at a time, one can see the Sardar Sarovar Dam and the Vindhya Mountains.
