Congress MP Rahul Gandhi will take charge of the opposition campaign in Maharashtra from November 6. On this day, he will attend a joint rally of the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) in Mumbai.
NCP (SCP) chief Sharad Pawar and Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray will attend the rally. Maharashtra Congress president Nana Patole said the three leaders will also issue a joint assurance.
Talking to the media in Baramati, Sharad Pawar said that the opposition campaign will start in Mumbai on November 6. The MVA will also release a common minimum plan to drum up support.
Pawar says – Friendly fight between opposition for 10-12 seats Regarding friendly fights between opposition leaders in some seats in the state, Pawar said only two MVA candidates in 10 to 12 seats have filed nomination papers. “I am confident that we will find a solution and resolve the issue in the coming days,” he said.
Sanjay Raut said Raj Thackeray praised the Prime Minister for his son’s future. Shiv Sena (UBT) Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut on Thursday targeted Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray. Raut said Raj Thackeray praised the political career of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah’s son Amit Thackeray.
Raut said Thackeray sometimes talked about stopping Prime Minister Modi and Shah from traveling to Maharashtra. Whatever happened suddenly today, they were all praising him. We can understand that his son is competing with Mahim. He worries about his son’s future.
In Maharashtra, the Congress is contesting up to 103 seats.
Maharashtra has 288 assembly seats. The issue of seat sharing among the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) remains unclear. However, the Congress is currently contesting the maximum number of 103 seats. Later, the Shiv Sena (UBT) secured 89 seats and the NCP (SCP) secured 87 seats. Six seats have been allocated to other minor parties, and no decision has been taken on three of them. Polling will be held on November 20 in Maharashtra. Counting will take place on November 23.
A look at the political equation in Maharashtra…
BJP’s seats in Lok Sabha elections reduced from 23 to 9 In the Lok Sabha elections, out of the 48 seats in Maharashtra, the Indian Alliance won 30 seats and the New Democratic Alliance won 17 seats. Among them, the BJP won 9 seats, the Shiv Sena won 7 seats and the NCP won only 1 seat. The BJP lost 23 seats. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the NDA secured 41 seats as compared to 42 seats in 2014.
Estimates of BJP’s loss in Lok Sabha elections If a trend like the Lok Sabha election takes place in the Maharashtra Assembly elections, the BJP will suffer. The number of seats of the BJP will be reduced to around 60. Meanwhile, in the opposition coalition survey, the MVA is projected to gain 160 seats. The Maratha movement is the biggest challenge facing the BJP. Apart from this, people sympathized with Uddhav Thackeray and Sharad Pawar after the destruction of Shiv Sena and NCP.
2019 parliamentary elections
- In 2019, the Bharatiya Janata Party-Shiv Sena alliance was formed. The BJP won 105 seats and the Shiv Sena won 56 seats. NCP got 54 seats from the alliance and Congress got 44 seats. The BJP-Shiv Sena could have easily come to power, but the alliance fell apart over differences of opinion.
- On November 23, 2019, Fadnavis was sworn in as Chief Minister and Ajit Pawar as Deputy Chief Minister. However, both resigned before the majority party election on 26 November.
- On November 28, Mahavikas Aghadi of the Shiv Sena (Independent), NCP (Independent) and Congress came to power.
- Thereafter, a split took place between the Shiv Sena (non-divisive) and the NCP (non-divisive), with the two parties divided into four factions. Despite this, Sharad Pawar and Uddhav Thackeray benefited from the Lok Sabha elections. The current parliamentary elections are also held against this background. Read full news…
